Perca, only 5 km from Brunico. The whole area is ideal for choosing one of the many excursions on offer. It is located in a quiet and sunny area between 950 m above sea level at the Rienza river up to 2500 m in the mountainous area (Natural Park of the Vedrette di Ries).

Perca is situated on a glacier mass of the Rienza dating back to the ice age. A mile stone outside the parish church gives evidence of the presence of the Romans.

Documents from 862 give evidence that the villages name dates back to the immigration of the ancient bavarians when the original name was "Perchah" (mountain river or birch forest).
