Percha in the Puster Valley
Percha is located only 5 km from Bruneck. The municipality of Percha includes the hamlets of Vila, Vila di Sopra, Plata and Tesselberg. The village lies on the ancient glacier of the Rienza, dating back to the last Ice Age. The name Percha (Perca in Italian) derives from the Middle High German word “birhe”, meaning “birch”. If you are looking for a holiday in a quiet and secluded location, Percha is the perfect destination!
Percha belongs to the Kronplatz ski area and enjoys a truly strategic location. In winter, the ski lifts of Kronplatz are easily reachable, as well as those of the Sexten Dolomites. In summer, there is an endless choice of hikes and walking tours in the surrounding mountains.
The railway station of Percha, located on the Puster Valley railway line, is directly connected to the ski lifts. This allows visitors to use public transport conveniently and, once off the train, start skiing immediately or, in summer, easily reach the highest peaks thanks to the modern lift facilities of the region.
Percha, with its atmosphere of relaxation, its historic churches and its centuries-old traditions and culture, is waiting for you!
